Synthesized Voices
The full version of VirtualStage is supplied with a number of high quality synthesized speech engines from the world's leading suppliers. However, if you are a trial user or if you would simply like to increase your options, there are a range of voices available on the web, some of them free for non-commercial use.
NOTE: You should look for Text to Speech (TTS) engines that are SAPI4 or SAPI5 compatible.

Actions & Gestures
Share the actions & gestures that you create with other VirtualStage users by emailing the exported XML to support@dakinewave.com and we will make them available for download. We will also accept BVH files.
VirtualStage enables the import of motion capture data and predefined animations using Biovision's BVH file format, with tags compatible with those used in Autodesk's Character Studio. Many BVH files are available for little or no charge on the web, for example:
3D models
There is a huge number of 3D models - both characters and props - available on the Internet, many of which are free for non-commercial use. At present, VirtualStage only allows you to import files in 3DS format. However, the 3DS format is in widespread use and most 3D graphics packages will save or export to this format.
NOTE: Character models must adhere to the VirtualStage Character Specification. Very few of the available models will do so in their raw form. However, users with 3D modelling skills should be able to adapt existing models to work with VirtualStage.
