Interactive Graphics
 Dakine Wave specializes in the development of bespoke software applications and toolkits that involve interactive 2D or 3D graphics. By that, we mean software in which the graphics displayed on the screen change as a result of user interaction.
Since such software can take many forms and has many uses, we do not restrict ourselves to working in any one particular application area, instead we work with domain experts from the relevant field and apply our techniques and skills to create highly innovative and supremely useful software.
For Analysis
Graphs, charts and diagrams have been used since prehistoric times to help people to analyze data and to convey ideas. Their usefulness is unquestioned. Nevertheless, largely due to the delivery media (paper, parchment, cave walls), such diagrams are generally static. Computers, however, are capable of displaying dynamic graphics and, thereby, they offer another dimension in power with respect to analysis and visualization.
 Take a simple database report as an example: a few simple mouse clicks on the segments of a pie chart will enable the user to drill down into the data and, thus, gain a deeper understanding of the data initially on view. We can take this further by offering more views on the data, each providing the user with a different perspective. As a result of the computer performing the number crunching and generating the graphical display, the analyst is in a better position to be able to interpret the data.
Dakine Wave works with customers that specialize in particular subject areas to produce tailored software with customized reporting tools and interactive graphics that provide changing views on the data that cannot otherwise be obtained from off-the-shelf graphics and reporting products.
For Control
Graphical User Interfaces (GUIs) make the configuration, operation and monitoring of business process software (e.g. workflow applications) and software controlled devices (e.g. almost anything you can think of) that much easier and more effective. They allow a user to make settings quickly and review existing configurations and operational states at a glance. Their great value is such that GUIs have become the norm.
 Most GUIs are typically developed using a standard set of components or widgets (buttons, comboboxes, sliders, input text fields etc.). However, such homogenous components do always provide the control or the look & feel being sought.
Dakine Wave works with both software and hardware suppliers and with end users that are looking for a better, more intuitive solution, to provide interactive 2D and 3D graphical interfaces for both software applications and hardware devices regardless of whether that GUI appears on the device itself, on a mobile phone, portable computer or on a PC/laptop.
