Download & Install Desktop Buddy
 Desktop Buddy uses Java Web Start technology. This makes it very easy for you to install and ensures that you receive all updates and upgrades automatically.
Follow these steps:
- You must carefully read the Licensing Agreement. By downloading and installing Desktop Buddy, you are indicating your acceptance of its terms & conditions.
- Check that your computer matches or exceeds the System Requirements. At present Desktop Buddy is only supported on Microsoft Windows XP (because of the use of synthesized voices).
- Ensure that you have Java Version 5 or above installed on your computer (see side panel).

Install Desktop Buddy
You may be asked whether you wish to 'Open the file' or 'Save it to disk'. Select Open. If it asks you which application to use, choose javaws.
This will begin the download. The files will be stored in the standard cache used for Java applications.
You may also be prompted with a couple of security messages and asked to accept a security certificate.
Finally, you may be asked if you wish to install icons on your desktop and Start menu. These make it easy for you to launch the application.
